Biography
Marquis Dijon Archuleta

Marquis Dijon Archuleta is a classically trained actor who performed the role of Sweeney Todd in Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber Of Fleet Street, was awarded the Most Versatile Actor in the 2023 Conny Awards, and has performed in over 50 theatrical productions. He has also dabbled in the film world on and off camera.

He received his Bachelors of Fine Arts Degree in Acting from the University of Montana in 2016. After graduation, he joined Tennessee Shakespeare Co. as the 2016-2017 Acting/Teaching-Artist Fellow acting in educational outreach and mainstage productions.
He has worked numerous times for the
Tennessee Shakespeare Co. as one of their
Master Teaching Artists in the Romeo and Juliet Project.

He sits as the Vice President of the
Rising Star Academy.
​
His directorial mainstage debut was at the Cutler Brothers Theater with a modern take on Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet.
​
He lent his voice for an audio production of Othello in which he voiced the Titular Character himself. Live streamed by the Shakespeare Online Repertory Theatre. You can listen on YouTube here.

Marquis holds a Black Belt in Taekwondo, a minor in psychology, has sung and danced in many musicals, and has 8 years of experience teaching Shakespeare to the youth.
​
He believes that people sometimes become numb to their emotions in day to day life and by experiencing a story told through film or live theater it helps people realize they are not alone.
​
His need to elicit an audience's emotional response is what drives him to peruse his acting career.
